Like a child

There was a quote that I heard in a movie at the video store the other day that for some reason has stuck with me today. A grown up is speaking to a heart broken child and say's, "When your a child, every thing feels like the end of the world."

Does that ever change when you become an adult?

We cry over broken hearts, deaths of some one we love, the loss of a close friend or the feeling that you are loosing a friend that you have always felt connected to.
We worry about weather or not we will fit in to a extended group of friends that you get introduced into, we even have things and people that we are afraid of.

Are we so different from a child? The only difference is that even when we feel like it is the end of the world, we keep on going, when some thing scares us, we can't hide in the closet till it goes away and for a child, it is easier to forgive and move on like nothing happened.

In some way's I think adults should be more like children, Forgive more easily when it is needed, not hold grudges over things in past arguments, and try to love a little bit more unconditionally and hold those I care for always close to my heart.

A child can teach you a lot if you take time to listen.
